Our Implementing Strategy (Approach):
We implement through a holistic, participatory and people centered approach; which integrates livelihood, psycho-social, educational and habitat needs of our beneficiaries. Being a People Centered Development approach, this strategy creates a long-lasting change not just for orphans and vulnerable families but to communities; creates an environment where orphans and less privileged can realize their rights, achieve self reliance and participate meaningfully in the community.
FORCE-CAM uses the problem diagnostic and cluster analysis approach, which ensures optimal participation of the various stakeholders especially the beneficiaries and their communities, to identify and resolve rural development issues. Steering Committees established in beneficiary villages are charged with the identification of community needs, needy orphans, advice and counsel orphans and caretakers. Based on this approach, FORCE-CAM is fondly referred to as Yuniwo foundation; Yuniwo in local limbum dialet meaning - listen to them-the community’. While focusing on the orphan, FORCE-CAM’s approach ensures that the orphan is given the required support to ensure an effect education such as education needs, livelihood needs, habitat and water and sanitation facilities.
FORCE-CAM’s work is carried out through three programs namely: Orphans Education Program; Social Infrastructure Development Program; and King David School (Day-care, Nursery, Primary and Vocational Training School). To ensure effective community empowerment, we mainstream trainings, sensitization, research and consultancy in our activities.
